I've recently purchased an Asus AC86U in order to upgrade from the Virgin SuperHub3. All working great barring one thing.

I previously had a bookmark link in Google Chrome for me to remotely access 'a certain newsgroup piece of software' outside of my LAN on my Synology NAS. Since the changeover it no longer works as I assume IPs are now different.

So as I understand it I need to setup a port forward on my new router?

Source IP: how do I know what this is? Is this the external dynamic IP of the Synology NAS? Where to find?
Port Range (External): The software in question is set to listen at 8080, so add 8080 here yes?
Local IP: I know the Synology is on 192.168.1.2
Local Port: ?????

Source IP will have to be anything (ie any source) as you could be anywhere when trying to access this, so the IP of the machine you are using to try and access this could be anything as you are the Source.
Local port would also be 8080 if that is what the Synology is setup for. The times when external port would be different to local port would be say you wanted to use RDP but didnt want the default port of 3389 open, you could set the external as say 61616 and the internal as 3389, then you would RDP to the IP on 61616 and the router then forwards the traffic on that port to the correct internal port and your RDP works.
