Probably a simple question but on something I've done before so bear with me...

I'm going to be installing Win7 on my Dad's PC and what I want to do is to put on something that will allow me to login remotely and take control (if it needs any software installing etc..) Now I would prefer something that wouldn't involve messing with the router settings as I won't have access to the router until I go and visit next (he has a O2Wireless box - the Speedtouch 585v7).

Now ideally I'd like to me able to connect remotely (over ADSL2+) using either my Win7 or my MacBook.

Have you any good suggestions

(also could I test it on my local LAN whilst I'm installing)

Teamviewer is excellent. I can even use it from work using either the portable version or using the web based log in system. It is truely an excellent piece of software which I could not do without!

Looks like TV for the win here, question though I've had a look and I assume that one my comp I'd have 'TV Full Version' and then on the otherone I'd put the 'QuickSupport'?? How would QuickSupport compare to Host which supposedly runs as a service.

On a different track - Would this still work for fullscreen DirectX based progs? as I have MediaPortal on a htpc and I might use this to control it remotely but it nearly always has MP in fullscreen mode?

Well definitely TV for the win, just been doing it on my internal network and its great even over directX.

Thanks for the heads up
