I have a pc hooked up to my lcd tv in my bedroom. I use the lcd to watch movies on whilst in bed.

However, it is a pain to have to get up and adjust volume etc when i', all snuggly in bed.

Is there a remote control for the pc that can adjust media settings? (also, i use several different media players, so would need to be able to either adjust each program or the pc media settings theirselves).

If you have an iPhone you can use a number of apps to control the PC. A great universal one is Airmouse, apart from that there are program specific apps aswell for the likes of VLC etc.

The popular auction site has PC media remote's aplenty. I bought one for my HTPC, it has a mouse control function too, which is handy. Can be had for less than £5 from HK.

Being unbranded Chinese stuff, you can only go by look of it, as they have no name. I can't link one, as it's against forum rules, but I can link a picture of the one I have. Just look for USB PC remote.

eBay is allowed, and other sites are also allowed providing you're talking about a product OcUK don't sell.

Yes they are super cheap, can't see the 2nd one, the page just stays on loading constantly. The 1st one, which I have, works fine. Not all functions work, but the ones that matter do. Media control functions, play, stop, volume, pause etc. Mouse control works fine, cursor arrows work fine in Media Centre. Power off is also handy. Pretty good considering Microsoft's own remote sells for around £20, and that to my knowledge, has no mouse control function.

I bought the Microsoft media keyboard for £15 brand new. That has mouse control:) i mainly use the media centre remote tho.

I used to use ivt bluesoleil and my W810i. It has a basic remote control feature on it. You could control the mouse and clicks, but not see what you were looking at like VNC.

I just managed to get the Microsoft wireless media keyboard with built in mouse, MCE remote and receiver for £45 from a well known auction site for my HTPC! :)

Mmmm, second link works for me!

Anywayz, you say it works in Media centre, but i very rarely use media centre. I use media player and/or powerdvd.

Will your remote work with these do you know?

Yes it does, works with whatever player is being used. The directional cursors are the main control in Media Centre, rather than mouse, so I was referring to the fact that they work fine with Media Centre.

2nd link works ok now, was just very slow earlier on. :)
