Remote control in XP

Hi guys,

My main PC upstairs monitor has broken and now I have no monitor for it for a while, is there anyway I can remote control this PC using my laptop? They both have XP on them.

I can log onto the PC blindly but cannot manage to install software etc so I was just wondering what was available in XP.

Any help appreciated!

Common sense says that you would plug in a working monitor to set it up.

No **** sherlock but I don't have a monitor of yet. Read the post.
