Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone had any "special" contacts with in M$ where I can get my Cals downgraded and activated without having to ring up the normal activation line.

It took me 45 minutes yesterday to get my cals downgraded from 2012 to 2003 and then installed.

The first person I called said I couldn't have my cals downgraded due to using an open license but then said they'd transfer me to someone who could help.
Second person said she couldn't do but then transferred me to the normal activation line (same place as person 1). The third person (although I had difficulty hearing her) did manage to downgrade what I needed and then I was on my way.

Surely there must be an easier way than having all that hassle?

Cheers

- 2003? Wut? Complete end of support was months ago.
- 2003 TS licenses aren't enforced in any way; I didn't even know you could activate?
- Email your account manager.

We run supply a product which is only validated for XP and Server 2003, our client requires remote terminals for different sites so we still need the cals.

You need to be able to activate the cals otherwise what will you do after your 120 day temporary license as run out?
