Hello,

I have, 1 Win7 Pro laptop, 1 Win7 Home Premium laptop and 1 Win Vista Home Premium laptop.

I can see the setting for Remote Desktop connection on the Win7 Pro laptop but cant see the settings on the other 2 ??

Is Remote Desktop Connection not supported on all operating systems ?

Do you mean "mstsc" ? Try typing that in the start menu on the Win7 HP Laptop.

I use Remote Desktop Connection to my server with Win7 HP so its there :)
 
Correct - it's one of those features that is only enabled in the pro/ultimate versions.
You could use one of the flavours of VNC instead, or hamatchi, teamviewer etc. instead.
 
There is a patch knocking around that can enable it in Home Premium. I have found some links but I would rather not post some random link to a Windows registry hack.

If someone has a link they know is safe then by all means post away!

personally i'd avoid hacks, and try another solution...
 
It has been tried and tested by plenty of people on here, so it is safe enough. But as I said, I am not going to provide some random link.

As for alternatives:

TeamViewer, Ultra VNC, LogMeIn yadda yadda yadda
