Hello,

I have 4 computers in my house 3 wireless laptops and 1 desktop connected to the router.

1 running XP media center
1 running XP home, cracked to Pro version
1 vista basic
1 vista home premium

I am unable to get the vista systems to connect on RDC ? there are no options in the system properies section ?? just options for remote assistance.

How can i get it enable and working on the vista machines ?

No I don't. I bought ultimate over a year ago. Ignore me.

(got it cheaper than I paid for Home Premium x32 as well, both OEM but ultimate was on sale)

ok so it looks like basic and premuim versions not have RDC as standard :(

will look into ways of enabling it, there must be a way.

How safe is RDC, i am just using it with 4 computers on the same workgroup.

Its not easy for anyone else to join in is it ?

would be quicker an easer to use something like VNC. I use TightVNC and have used some of the other variants before without issue.
 
once you have a connection established you can save the connection settings and it will include the password. so all you need to do is double click the file and it will log you straight in no problem.
