Hi guys,

Just wondering what the best way to connect to customers computers is; I use join.me at the moment but I'd prefer to use the remote desktop connection tool built into windows as the pc I use at work isn't very fast and it doesn't like doing web based remote desktop.
So in concerns to remote desktop connection tool, what's the best way to connect to pc's over the internet (ip etc) and whats the best way to find out from the customer the details I'll need to connect.

Sorry if this makes no sense, I've been battling failing BES servers all day :C

Cheers,

Jamie

Don't start opening up RDP to the Internet. Only use it if you have a VPN in place.

If you don't have direct access to the network, use LogMeIn or TeamViewer.

Ah I guess it's a security risk? I'm really no good in this stuff at the moment, that's why I ask, I'm having to do a job I'm not trained for, I've had to teach myself everything since I started

suck it and see.

can you test it with two machines in the office?

on your machine, install the 'full' version, then on the 'client' machine, click the 'join remote control session' link

http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx

Then on the full machine, type in the ID/password given by the client and hit connect
