I have a second pc set up as a pvr and it's controlled totally by remote from this one , how ever I seem to be having a few problems.I'm not sure if they're a limitation of windows remote desktop or whether I've set something wrong. In general it works ok , except for a few problems.
Colour. A few programs refuse to work saying they need 32bit colour , I can't seem to get it on remote desktop
.
Sound drivers. It appears to use the remote desktops sound drivers or control. When I double click the volume tab , I get a very basic one , rather than the creative one (remote pc has a sb live 5.1 in). So I can't really control the line in volume.
Finally , the picture from what the tv tuner is on does not show only get the sound from it.Not so much of a problem as really only use to record , but would be nice if I could see the picture.
I've got the remote desktop set to LAN settings , but these problems still exsist. So I'm not sure if there is something else to set? or are they just a limitation of the remote desktop?. If so is there any third party remote desktops that can be installed and used?. Ideally I'd like to get as close as possible to as if I was logged on normally.
