remote desktop pros..how do i wake my htpc over the web?

Have splashtop working really well over the internet ,not local, and I was just wondering if there are any other options apart from leaving the htpc on all day?

Is there a way to wake the PC from the internet?I'm going to guess no.

You can if you enable Wake-On-Lan.

There's an app on Windows Phone - Wake My PC - which can do this so I assume there's a similar app on both iOS and Android.

I Use PC Monitor for WOL. Works very well with my Microserver over internet.

If your pc has Wake-On-LAN option this is a good way to do it using Splashtop, a friend does this on his iPad.

I am having some problems with it, the wifi is a usb stick, is this the issue, a lot of info says many problems arise from this.

I bet mine doesn't, cheap generic ralink drivers

How what's the easiest way to get this working? Do usb dongles that work cost the earth?

I have seen a Draft N usb dongle which had WOL but I can't remember the make or model

Dang , its really almost impossible to search through these, doubtful any I might find will even work!
