I use to do it all the time but have forgoten. Basicly my fokes gave my godmother there old PC and she's not sure what she's doing. She's 400 miles away so remote desktop till i can be bother to go see her is the only option.

I'm using Windows 7 and the PC she has is XP. For the love of me i can not remember a single thing of how to do it or whats needed.

Please help

Click the start orb and start typing remote into the search bar. It will then bring a shortcut to the remote desktop app. Also use the built in help and search remote for assistance in connecting and using the remote desktop......google can also be your friend.

I know this is vague but i'm busy at the mo and can't walk you through it. Hope it helps stir your memory. Maybe someone else will jump in and help further

Use a programme called team viewer. I had the same problem today. This is by far the easiest way to remote control a pc.

Log me In is what I use to look after friends and families PC's.

Though it will require you to install some software on the remote PC to begin with unless you pay for the remote subscription version.
