Remote Desktop - Your Credentials did not work

Hi guys,

I'm getting the above fail when I try to RD to any of my machines at home - from each other; a mix of 10 to 11 etc. I've tried both ways. I can obviously connect to the client/s in question because I see the account I use but I fail on the password, which I know is right?

I haven't used RD at home in ages.

Any ideas?

try putting the username in the format.. MachineName\user

Or you could try localhost\username.

Question though; what would be the best way of managing a RD from an Android/Windows client remotely? - my scenario involves a media server that I need to keep my eye on periodically.

I use an android app called RD Client to remote into my Windows PC's.

Also try machinename\msaccountemail if they are using MS accounts rather than local.
