Hi there me and my business partner have recently setup our own business, me and my biz partner both would like to access files stored on our home/office PC remotely, we don't really have a budget setup for this so would prefer free methods, any advice would be helpful.
I was maybe thinking setting the home/office PC up as a virtual server where the remote laptops can connect to it is this easy to do or would this also be expensive, this would be a better solution because we also have quickbooks software which we could install on the virtual server and also all connect to it remotely, maybe using remote desktop ? my biz partner has a windows 7 based laptop and I have a macbook would I be able to connect to a virtual server installed on a windows desktop from my macbook ?
