Remote Keyboard - MCE required

Sorry if wrong forum, can't find a dedicated "Input" section.

Quick question in regards to:

Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition - Retail (KB-053-MS)

Do I HAVE to have MCE, or can it be used as a standard keyboard (I know I need the receiver - SW-009-MS)

tough one dude,

i canna help you, but aslong as you get the receiver i dont see why it shouldnt.

mce is just an interface for xp at the end of the day, so any drivers for mce should work fine with mce.

wait to see if any of the others can confirm this though
