Okay, Remote Play over the internet is ******* me off, before the Remote Start function came into play I had it working, but now even if I don't use remotestart and just leave my PS3 on, I can't connect externally.

But It'll work if I try from my connection, both Locally, and Externally. I've upgraded my WRT54G-S with tomato custom firmware, and uPNP works now, I can see the PS3 opens the ports fine, and get Nat Type 2 okay.

But when I try connecting externally It comes up with Connection to the PS3 has timed out?

Before anyone advises to reset PSP/PS3 to default settings, I did this. Twice now.

Basicly, I'm in tune with routers and settings, I just think it's the router being ghey. What would really help, is if someone with a working setup tell me what router they are using and so forth. Or if they have the same router to tell me the settings they used.

Thanks!!

I just done mine over the internet today, (and tested it) and it all works OK.

I just have a Netgear DG834GT, apart from the PS3/PSP settings, all I did was forward TCP port 9293. Won;t bore you with otehr detaisl, if you know about routers, ask away if you need).

Oh noes, mines Cable Modem not ADSL

Shouldn't really make a difference. You definitely got that port open I mentioned? (from a windows box you could use the portquery tool that is in the server admin packs to test whether that port is "listening".

I don;t know anyone else who uses remote play but the type of router/broadband should be irrelevant as basically it is just another listening service on your LAN like a VNC server or web server etc.

Yeah I had that port open when i did it manually, and as It is now uPNP has opened that port automatically.

But that's what mean, all the port settings a perfectly fine.

Dunno Im blaming the router because the settings are spot on, and theres no reason for it not to work....
