Hey guys,

I've got a fair view users that work out of the office and from multiple sites, what do you guys use to remote onto your clients workstations?

I've tried sysaid, looks like it uses VNC but it feels very clunky.

We used LogmeIn Free for ages before the company decided to buy Juniper which sucks big time, Logmein Free works a treat and is easy to use/setup.

Even for home users?

RDP is good but it can be useful to watch the user replicate the issue whilst you are viewing the machine.

I'm looking for something that can manage mutiple networks/sites for over 250 users.

Our home users use CSG so no VPN connection - we're looking at Teamviewer to remote assist them when they cant read error messages or type in a username

Dameware mini remote control is good....otherwise we have SCCM so use SCCM Remote Viewer

We also have this.

I have to say Dameware is FANTASTIC and ***AMAZING*** (LIKE, SERIOUSLY) value for money. However, I'm not sure you can use it to manage remote users not logged onto the domain via VPN - however, I've not tried.

I use VNC, Dameware, UltraVNC, PC-Duo. For the free option I'd pick UltraVNC, paid for it is very tight between Dameware and PC-Duo but I think I'd go with Dameware

VPN and a RDP session to their desktop if they really have to.

Otherwise I would setup a TS server or Citrix depending on the size of the company and their requirements.

What's the pricing like on gotoassist and dameware?

Lately I've been using UltraVNC single-click for remote support but doesn't like windows 7.

RDP over VPN, why install software when the functionality is already there for you

RDP Only allows 1 session so you cant share a session with the user.

RDP is fine if you dont need to show the user anything :/ but being able to share a session is very useful when supporting customers imo

We used to use VNC but moved to Damewhere to connect to customers where we have fixed VPNs setup already. For home customers with no fixed VPN we use Teamviewer which is also very good :)
