Hi guys, I'm just halfway through building my new i7 system, but I have a question before I go any further...

I've got a Fenrir HSF and installed it so the fan would blow towards the back of the case, it all looked fine until I tried to put the memory in. D'OH! The fan was overhanging the memory slot so that idea was out...So I unscrewed the Fenrir and installed it so fan blowing up towards the PSU fan. All good, memory now fits fine (well, tight fit, but no contact...just!).

But, I didn't clean and reapply the TIM, I just took the HSF off, turned it round and plonked it back on again. Er, is this bad? Will it effect the TIMs effectiveness? The PC was never swicthed on, in fact the mobo hasn't even been in the case yet, I'm going to be finishing the build tomorrow.

Regards

Spec

It will make the slightest difference but when we say that we mean the " slightest difference"

Unless your the most OCD, crazy overclocker then #i wouldn't worry about it
