I hope im posting in correct forum.

I have a maxell 12gb removable memory (HDD) usb stick.

For so reason it isnt being "found" by any pc i use.
I put it in any usb in any pc, the pc beep to confirm instertion,
but the drive doesnt auto-run or even show in the my computer option.
But sometimes when i click on the safely remove hardware icon in the tray, there is an option for the maxell drive. The mem stick also lights up, so it does have power?

Im baffled!?

It sounds like when you insert it, the flash drive is conflicting with another drive letter.

I fixed the same problem I had this way:

Click on Start
Right on My Computer
Select Manage
Click on Disk Management

If you can see the flash drive in the list, right click on it and select Drive Letters and Paths.

Click on Change and choose a drive letter, click on OK twice.

I usually use Z: for my flash drives.

Nope not there..
Its inserted, but only c d and opticalt drive showing :(

I am assuming that you are using it in a front USB port? Have you tried it on one at the back of the case?

Also are you able to try it in another machine?

Its visible in device manager as mass storage, but says not connected

Taken from device manager

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

When device is insterted it beeps as in its been insterted. After about 10 seconds, it does the beeps as if it were removed, but its still inserted

If you have tried it in other machines and it is still not working, I would suggest it is broken? I dont what else to tell you. :(
