Slightly odd question, can anyone recommend a cheap removable antenna, with a cable so it can be placed a short distance (1-2m) away from our Linksys WRT54 GS?
I ask as my mother is getting a laptop, but at the moment the wireless signal in the lounge is pretty poor, so I'm hoping that if I can move the antenna so it's not quite so blocked that will help
(I can't really move the router as it's in the only place I can have it out of the way, but near both the mains and the fixed wall socket).
I was going to get a second cheapy router just to act as an access point, but as the signal in the lounge is there, I'm hoping the antenna might do the job (unless I can boost the signal from the router itself, but I'm not sure how much that would help).
