remove scratches from ipod touch

Hi
after a bit of advice. im wanting to remove scratches from my brothers 4th gen ipod touch screen as its quite badly scratched. now what way would be the best way of removing it or am i better off fitting a new screen.

not looking to get it perfect just try and reduce the amount of scratches on it

You cant remove scratches from the screen because it will **** up the digitiser, just replace the screen.
