Hi all

My laptop has just updated to the latest creators update and it seems to have re-added the US language pack. I've gone into settings and both the UK and US languages are installed, but the option to remove the US language pack is greyed out.

Does anyone know how to delete it?

Many thanks

M.

It's a bug in the lastest build, you'll have to wait for a fix to be able to remove it.

I found a site which suggested you add another english language, e.g. Ireland, make that default, then delete the original UK and US, then re-add UK and delete the Ireland one. Of course, I did that, and now can I not only still not delete UK and US, and I can't delete the Ireland one I just added to supposedly let me delete the god damn US one in the first place. A bug you say? This is OCD worthy.

Seems to be somewhat of an issue with Windows 10 in general, it sometimes appears for me without the option to remove it, the language bar sits there for a couple of weeks and then disappears. No idea why and no way of removing the US language option.

Settings. Devices. Typing. Scroll down. Advanced Keyboard Settings. Language Bar Options.
Tried that, sometimes it works, sometimes not - usually requires logging off and back on again. Removed today, I'm sure it will be back in a couple of weeks time - it's usually when there is an update so it almost becomes a routine thing to (attempt to) remove it or I'll just leave it as it isn't exactly in the way.
