What do you want to replace it with? Probably best to do it using the installer for that OS.

Well the bootloader gives me the option of booting into XP or Vista. I just want to remove it so it will boot into vista?

In XP (will not be in Vista and you install XP 1st to dual boot anyhow)

In "System Props" (Right Click My Comp), go to "Advanced Tab", then to "Startup & Recovery", you can then EDIT the Boot.ini to get rid of the Vista Lines of text.

You will not see the option to choose Vista the next time you Restart (if you do it properly).

A good idea is to backup the Boot.in into a .txt file and Archive it before you dual boot, then simply copy/paste it back completely and no need to worry if done right.

(I'm doing this from memory, on Vista and its not there infact they don't allow you to do anything like that by normal methods for security reasons).

Sorted this out now used Vistabootloader pro.
