Hi, I've had a dual XP/vista boot for a while and decided I want to get rid of vista. I've changed the bootmanager to load XP by default but when I try deleting the Vista directory from XP it tells me access is denied. Is there a way I can get rid of this without reformatting?

Is it on the same drive as XP.

A little information on your drive structure would be good as well, like where Vista is Stored and where XP is stored etc....

IF one hdd two partitions THEN
Your favourate partition manager (Gparted, PM, kparted etc)
erase VIsta partiton
extend XP partition to the whole disk,
done!
ELSE IF two hdd, one OS on each THEN
format the other one and do what you want with it
ELSE
you are going to have to elaberate a bit further.
