removeable disks ??

hi...would any 1 hav a clue why in device manager and exploer ive got "removeable disk (k) and removeable disk (L) listed when i dont have any removeable disks at all??....im running a p5w dh mobo ,q6600,4 gig crucial 1066,8800 ultra....1 150 gig raptor and a wd 500 gig all sata...thanks for reading this post....dan

Usually indicates things like cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players etc.

how weird.
XP?
Right click My Computer > manage.
Click "Disk management" on the left and see whats listed.
You could also look at "removable storage" in computer management.

yeah is xp and in the r click manage in removable storage its listed in a folder called libraries and inside there generic flash hs-cf usb device and the other is generic flash hs-combo usb ?? wtf....weirdness !!

That says to me your case/system has a/some card reader(s) in it.

omg im a tool....on dell 24 inch has card readers on the side which i forgot about....weird cos they didnt show up on last install of xp or vista...mind u hav updated chipset drivers and bios.....thanks a lot for posts guys...this forum smacks it
