Removed Floppy Drive - Shutdown Error

I recently removed my floppy drive and disabled it being one of the bootup devices, all went well. I don't restart my pc very often and only came across this yesterday. Basically when i've hit shutdown a small error box appear saying the drive isn't ready or is in use (rough memory guess). I've looked in Device Manager and it looks as so...

Now i'm guessing this is what's causing the problem. Do i select uninstall or disable?

Edit: Is there anything else i need to do after removing the floppy drive?

possibly boot into safe mode (F8 at boot) and remove it from device manager?

I'm not sure if you have already done this from what you have already explained, but in your bios - there will be an option for your floppy drive and it may still read 1.44 inc, you will need to select that and change it to none.

Thx guys, will try the bios one first, then boot into safe mode. Expect me back if anything goes wrong.

Disable it.

I had to do the same when I had a broken floppy-drive.

I had the exact same problem when i removed my floppy. Just disable it on the first screen of the bios
