Removed GTX 770, now PC keeps freezing!?!

Tbh that sounds like a faulty onboard gpu then mate. Have you got another gfx card you could pop in to see if that resolves the problem?
 
Yeah, I do actually. Good idea - will try tonight when home!

QUICK POINTER - when I run Windows Experience Score updater, it crashes at the 'D3D Assessment', so surely bad iGPU or driver issue.

Try getting an ubuntu usb device.

Boot from that and see (it wont touch your windows install).

If freezes -> hardware borked
If not -> Windows install borked
 
Quick update.

Installed the R7 250X from my Steambox into my main Desktop, and touch wood... all seems fine. All graphics tests seem to be working with no freezes as yet.

So, 3570K iGPU at fault?
