removed my XFI -> using onboard getting buzzing with prime

Removed my XFI from my system to try to work around a problem

Ran some prime tests on the board but noticed a weird buzzing sound from speakers , stopped prime noise stopped , has anyone got a work around for this ?

Mobo is a gigabyte P35C_DS3R

It's EMI. Nothing you can do about it, some motherboard audio solutions are more prone to it than others.

That's what the big shield that looks a bit like a heatsink on the Xonar D2 and D2X is for. It's supposed to stop EMI causing interference.
