That looks like a C clip. Easy enough to remove if you have enough room (and tools).
You can use a flat blade screwdriver, insert into the slots either side and twist the blade so it eases the clip out of the groove, a bit like the image below..
Or you can use a hook tool (like image below) if it's tricky to get to, although it could ping off and fly somewhere never to be seen again. So try not to lose it or that pin will keep working loose.
Once that C clip is removed the pin should slide out from the other end allowing the seat to be removed!
