Hi, after dropping my laptop and having a problems with it charging I have worked out the DC socket needs replacing.
The problem is I'm having trouble stripping the laptop down to gain enough access to remove the old one and solder the new one in. I got quoted 80 quid to have it done but seeing as I just ordered the part on ebay for 3 quid this seems a bit steep, couple with the fact I used to solder to militarty spec I thought I'd do it myself.
Does anyone have a breakdown guide for removing the mobo or have experience in changing DC sockets that could help ?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
