I foolishly let a mate use my computer for the last few days while i've been at the work, but the dopey git has gone and downloaded a pirate copy of NFS:Most Wanted and installed it on my system. Now i'm not gonna debate the rights and wrongs of this, it's wrong, plain and simple and I want it off my system, but for some reason I can't get rid of the .mdf file. I know nothing about this kinda thing, as i never play pirated games. I've deleted everything but the NFSMW-MINI.mdf file, everytime I try to delete, it says it is being used by another person or program, can anyone help me get this off my system please! The other annoying thing is that it's taking up 1.7Gigs of space...

EDIT: Have tried booting into safe mode and deleting it like that, but still no luck :(

Look in "My Computer" does it have more CDROMs than you would expect? IF it does then my previous sentence is probably the cause. Usually you can dismount it by right click on the CDROM and select eject, or uninstall the software.

As it goes, there is a new K: drive there that says NFSMW!!!

Many thanks for everyones help!
