Removing and replacing badge! :)

Hi

Ive just got a new type r boot badge to replace my tatty one.

Any tips on how to remove the old one and make sure the new one is straight!

To remove, depending on how it is attached, hair dryer.

Stick masking tape on the body of the car around the old badge (tight against it) so when you remove it you know exactly where to fit the new one.

Get some dental floss, hook it round the back of the badge and use it to saw through the adhesive. Then warm up the residue after the badge is off to clean up the area and rub it up with a spot of polish. I did this on my Fiesta and it worked a treat

Old credit card and a cup of freshly boiled water to warm it up then scrape it off with that.

I'll second the dental floss method, works great. Warm it up a bit first (the badge not the floss!) and then you just slice it off.
