I'm due to move soon into a house that needs a lot of work. The more I can do myself the better.

One job which seems on the face of it fairly simple is there's an old timey sink in one bedroom in the corner. I want to get rid of it.

Is it pretty easy to cap off the waste/water pipes under the flootboards or is it more complicated than that? I can't seem to find any guides on youtube, the algorithm always thinks I want to intall not remove.

Yes, just cap them off..

When a tap is 'off' it's effectively capping off the pipe.. and waste pipes will all go back to the main waste which will be vented somewhere else, so should be absolutely fine..

Paste into Copilot "how do i cap off a copper pipe in household plumbing?"

It's basically switch off water, cut pipes, add compression fittings to cap.

How "old timey" is it still copper pipes if its old old they might be lead.

If you don't smash it to bits an its a nice "old timey" rather than some horrid thing you might be able to sell it.
