As per the title I have a unused corsair psu with the cables braid from my first rig and its time to re use it in a spare pc.

Any ideas/tips on the best way to remove this and the heat shrink holding it down? so far its a pita as the shrink is rock solid.

any suggestions appreciated.

Very sharp scalpel, the sharpness makes life much easier than fiddling with a Stanley blade, and the fine point gets under/in between the edges of layers of shrink Vs sleeve.

I believe Swann-Morton 10a blades are the ones you want, this is basically the most useful tool I own across both electronics and woodwork.

Do you want to reuse the braid on the other cables?? If so get a removal tool for the pins and remove the pins with it all intact and then you can use in the other connectors, wire and all.
