Removing CCC Overclock Limits

I have 2 6950s (6970 unlocks) and used a program called RacerX (can't link due to possible competitor) to remove the overclock limits in the catalyst control centre. The program edits the ATI registry settings. I was then able to set the clocks to match a full 6970 which gave me identical performance.

However when I installed the latest 11.7 and 11.8 beta the limit came back.

I used the RacerX program again but on reboot my system just hangs as soon as Windows loads up. I booted into safe mode, used Driver Sweeper and reinstalled the drivers and it's all good again.

Does anyone know any other way of removing the limits in the CCC itself. I don't really want to use Afterburner or 3rd party software as had issues with it before and using CCC is the simplest and most reliable method I have found.

Cheers

I use asus smart doctor.

I have tried this before but I believe you need Asus cards or at least cards flashed with an Asus bios.

I think the RacerX program basically just automates that registry edit.

It worked perfectly before but not since I updated to 11.7.

Maybe I will go back to 11.6 and try next month with the full 11.8s.
