I have managed to aquire my brothers old MacBook (Core Duo) and it is somewhat yellow. Is there anyway to repair this cheaply? If not I belive you can get vinyl stickers, has anybody used these?

Cheers!

I've used a rubber to get rid of the darkening marks on my white macbook, works a treat just takes a little time (and makes a bit of a mess like). I'm sure someone on here posted a link to an article about cleaning the macbook, I can't seem to remember. Either way that's where I picked up the tip from :D

If its gone yellow as an effect from the sun light, I dont think theres anyway of restoring its colour by using cleaning products. Looks like ul have to purchase a white paint aerosol can mask it, and spray! lol no dont..................

toothpaste!

I smoke, and my macbook ended up pretty yellow, especially around the intake. Toothpaste on a microfibre cloth got rid of the yellow, then normal TFT cleaner or whatever to get the toothpaste off.

discoloration is a known recognised fault on the mac books and is covered under warranty.

I know because my sisters has its shell replaced last month, as did one of my old colleges the month before.

Yeah That!!!

I had the keyboard/mousepad/wrist rest part replaced twice on my old macbook. It is a known issue and even covered out of warranty iirc.
