Is there an easy way to do it?

I removed the bump strips from the 205, but it left loads of grey foamy stuff stuck to the paint: :(

Is there an easy and painless way of getting it off? I've managed to pick a bit off, but it would take ages to do the whole lot. :o

Anyone know any easier methods? I've got a heat gun and loads of household cleaning products. :D

Petrol helped, but it still takes ages.... :(

Jetwash, takes it off in seconds.
Ooo, not thought of that one... I'll give it a go.

heatgun and a credit card :)

Get the proper wheelbolts for your wheels too :p
Heatgun will be plan b. :) Also, they are the right wheelbolts... They're just a lil' rusty.

I agree with -westy-, those don't look like the right wheel bolts :p Have they got a tapered or flat face which sits next to the alloy?

Those alloys are designed to have a flat face, those look like the tapered Peugeot ones to me!

Jetwash will definately get it off, come to think of it.

I think you've got the 1.6 wheelbolts there dude, the 1.9 bolts sit a lot more flush to the alloy :)

Jetwash didn't work! Maybe mine isn't powerful enough or something. :(

As for wheelbolts, I stand corrected. :) I didn't know that 1.9's and 1.6's had different wheel bolts, I'll keep an eye out for some 1.9 bolts.

Right, now to try heatgun and credit card. :D

White spirit normally does the trick. I'd be more concerned about the ruddy big scratch in the rear quarter like!

I have some 1.9 wheelbolts ;) email in trust.

Surprising tbh. I've used mine on the residue of the sticky strips used to attach numberplates and it's taken it straight off. You have to get the jet very close and under the edge of it then move along slowly and it peels it straight off.

This must be some extra high grade sticky stuff! I'll give it another go with the jetwash when it stops raining, maybe with a different nozzle.

White spirit worked a bit, but a petrol soaked rag seemed work better, but it was still rather a slow process. :( I'll just have to do it bit by bit.
