Removing EK Supremacy

Ok silly question time, I have today removed my EK Supremacy block as I am preparing to move system to a new case and going to run either high end air or an AIO cooler. However.... for the life of me I cannot seem to be able to remove the backplate from the motherboard. It has the rubber gasket mounted between PCB and metal backplate and I have removed the mounting screws, so expected it to just come away freely, however this hasn't been the case. I am scared to attempt to force it for fear of cracking my mobo.

Any suggestions?

Warm it gently with a hairdryer.
Sometimes a gentle twisting motion will help.

Dont be tempted to force it.

Ok mate appreciate advice. Will give it a try tomorrow afternoon. Absolutely gutted if I wreck the board (old'ish Maximus VI but not the point)
