I think it's emulsion anyway, I haven't cleaned my car for a while and when it was cleaned this morning it appears that theres paint all down the side, what can I use to remove this? :(

a good polish, i wouldnt recommend any solvents as they would attack your paint and laquer as well.

ou should be able to get bits off with a bit of careful fingernail action.

White spirits if it's oil based and not actually emulsion. Test an inconspicuous area first, but should be fine. The bodyshop that painted a panel for me use WD-40 which is essentially white spirit mixed with light oil. They use it mainly to remove tar spots.

Also, a clay bar is generally seen as a good first line of attack. If you use white spirit, lightly dampen a cloth with it and take it very easy.

A weak cutting compound would be my choice, works well for paint transfer from other cars.

House paints are much softer than car paint.
