This one has been bugging me for a while now.
I've got loads of photos that are encrypted and following a virus and re-install, I can no longer access or move them.
I've tried Advanced EFS Data Recovery which has managed to recover some keys, but not many even scanning by sectors.
I've also tried exporting the recovery agent's private key, but there are no certificates marked 'file recovery' under XP and none at all under Vista.
It very much looks like the original key is now lost and the only way I can decrypt the photos is with a brute force hacker.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best method?
Thanks
