Hi,
Need to whip the head unit out of a Ford Ka pronto, does anyone know the best way to get it out without the official Keys ? friends reckon a coat hanger will do it, but im not getting it to budge ?

Couldn't find any guides on the web :/

Coathangers should defo do it, easiest way is just pop to your local motorfactors and buy the removal keys for 99p!

Possible to get at with 2 flat headed screwdrivers and then ease it out? Thats how I got the one out of my 106 on Monday.

But, before you do that, make sure you have the code handy. ;)

106 Radio is held in differently to Fords, doing that will just damage the radio/dash

I thought that would be the case, never had the luck to go in a Ka myself, so wasn't so sure.

Try the coat hangars then. :)

I removed mine with a wire coat hanger! Take 1 wire coat hanger, cut 2 stips from it and bend them both into U shapes, insert these into the holes in the radio either side and push them outwards and pull on them at the same time, this should move it out enough for you to get your fingers in and pull the bugger out!
