I used to start Synergy from the terminal, close the terminal and it would run in the background quite happily. I was playing about with creating an Icon on the desktop that run just run the program in the terminal with an added command line parameter. I changed synergy to use terminal to default open the file (it was using textmate :S). Couldn't actually get it to do what I wanted, but now....every time i run the program in terminal, I get a big icon of a file in my down.....
Just wondering how I can stop a program I started in the terminal showing a dock Icon? It's not like it's even useful as I can't kill the process with it, i have to do that in terminal / activity monitor!
Thanks,
JB
