I attempted to have a triple boot setup with Vista, Ubuntu and XP however I gave up on Ubuntu afetr a day and a half trying to get Grub to work. I deleted the Linux partition and reinstalled Windows Vista again to try and irradicate grub but it seems not to have worked.

Now when I startup I get a GRLDR coming up, then GRUB, then to the Windows Boot manager (Vista I assume). All these steps are sutomatic until I get to windows boot manager where I select Vista /XP. Now how can I remove all the GRLDR and GRUB processes?? They arent needed and slow down the system starting up.

Thanks v much:)

ps I am happy to reinstall Vista again if it allows me to get rid of it.

Boot with your WinXP CD into recovery mode and the "fixmbr" command should erase your GRUB bootloader and replace it with the Windows bootloader.

I don't know how this will affect your Vista install though as I have no experience with Vista.
