removing HDD's from raid?

i have decided i dont want to use raid, so i went into bios and reset all setting, then booted into the win7 dvd and the problems started....

i have 2 HDD's but only 1 is showing up and when i try to do an install it says the HDD cant be used. and will not let me progress past this point, what i enter bios and set raid back on it boots into windows fine. Have i missed a step when trying to remove raid

Board is a MSI 870-C45 and i am using the on board raid driver.

was you using raid0?

you have to format both drives to reuse them.

last time I did RAID you had to press ctrl + I or ctrl + K or somat during boot (after post but before win) to go into RAID set up, not sure if this is still the case, try it
Also can the disk be seen in disk management? it may need re-allocating
