Removing Heat sink...

Hi guys, I just put my heat sink, it positioned wrong, and i want to reposition it, if i unscrew it, and place it down again, will the paste need reapplied? I only applied it and screwed it into place about 10 mins ago, does it set, or if I remove it now, do I def need to reapply it?

You will be ok to move it.

The paste will cure with heat cycles.

Re-applying the TIM (thermal interface material) would be the best option.

Whether or not the TIM cures depends on the type of TIM.
