Removing IE7 from slipstreamed XP install

I've been entrusted with the task at work to install IE6 on an XP machine. I thought there'd be problems and it seems I thought right.

This machine has recently been reinstalled with IE7 as part of the slipstream. So doesn't have any uninstall operations in the usual places. I need to either, force uninstall of IE7 somehow; or force IE6 install (says newer version detected so goes no further.) Any ideas? It's for website dev testing if you're going to question why

Wasnt there a site somewhere if i seem to remember, where u could get 'pocket' versions of IE, let me see if i can fish it out.
