Removing laminate from a document?

I've got a company document that's been laminated which HMRC won't accept. Is it possible to remove the lamination without destroying the document? There's a couple of Yahoo answers online that says it's possible using a combination of a towel and an iron but was wondering if anyone knew if it worked. Any printers in the house?

Thanks.

Can you tell us what it is? I would not think it possible as the laminate melts into the finish of the paper. It isn't designed to be removable. Have you asked them what they will accept?
