When the gearbox on the golf was leaking it dripped on to our freshly tarmacked drive and has since turned a horrible brown colour which I can't shift with anything. I've tried pressure washing it, fairy liquid, using an "oil remover" from halfords and it just won't shift. Is there an industrial cleaner which is safe to use on tarmac that I can slosh over it to get it off?

Sadly you are probably on a hiding to nothing, oil actualy eats into the tarmac over time so even if you remove the oil, it's unlikely to remove the discolouration. That said I have found biological washing powder to work well on oil stains in general, so could be worth a try.

Or see if you can get hold of this stuff.

I hope for my sake we can get it off - the drive cost thousands and it's been laid less than 12 months :/
