Had a MBP coupled with an External Samsung 1TB drive for Timemachine along with my iMac Time machine, I partitioned the drive into 3 sections, one for the iMac TM, the MBP TM and then free space left over.

I have since sold the MBP so would like to reclaim the space to have it for random things in the free space partition, then when I have gone to delete the MBP section it gives me this message

MediaKit reports partition (map) too small

Anyone any ideas?

Ohh and it now doesnt show up in the Finder in the left hand side.

I tell ya whats happened, i deleted the TM file from the MBP section, but now it has disappeared taking the 320gb space with it, when I switch the HD on, the free space section shows, then the iMac TM partition shows, but not the original MBP space.

Not sure how Ive done that now!.

Hello...erm..again, still having this problem, I just let it lie but now its jsut annoying, this is what I have on my TB drive, what I would like to do is remove the Partition between Free Space and Free Space 2, giving me about 500GB in one space without touching the time machine space.

THis is how it looks.
