Removing Permissions/Protection

I have downloaded a Job application, but can not change the margins and generally change the format of the document.

Does anyone know a way i can unlock all Word 2003 or 2007 features so i can change this doc?

What file type is it? And why would unlocking Word help you?

Do you mean that some options in Word are greyed out? Suggests that the file has been edited like this so that you can't edit the file.

Sounds like the docs been protected, have a look off the Tools menu for Protection and see if that helps.

Look for a padlock on the toolbar, if it's there click it to unlock.

Muppets at work haven't realised that's all I've done to lock our templates

But if the file is protected he would need the password to un-protect the document
