There are some white smears on the door window plastics a the base of the window that I want rid of. Does anyone know of any method that gets rid of it because it makes the car look quite untidy.

Someone once told me that WD40 works so I gave it a go. It works great! For up to one week that is, then it wears off and looks cack again.

I use auto glym bumper care when I get polish on the black plastic bits. Seems to get majority off.

I have used wd-40 for this very problem and it works a treat and cant say I noticed it wearing off.

I'm not too keen on trying these bumper cleaning products because I once tried some Autoglym bumper care and it doesn't last. After a week the plastic looked the same as it always does so I'm concerned that it wont shift the polish.

I do have access to a power washer so I will give it a go with that tomorrow and go from there.

Cheers.

Someone once recommended peanut butter to me as the natural oils will lift the polish. Never got round to trying it though as I still have AG bumper care on the shelf.

Might be worth a punt though before you buy anything else.
